With a growing list of original, well crafted songs they have firmly established themselves and are well on their way to becoming a household name in the world of music becoming a series favourite for 2011 on the Xmas Music Week Presents CD. Live and Loud said “The Crooked Empire epitomise the defining qualities that have made this country the acme of musical talent that it is”

Last year saw a few changes for the band on both a musical and personal level with a new direction in song writing and a new guitarist on-board. The band have since gone from strength-to-strength, securing gigs with bands and artists such as Athlete, Dodgy, Finley Quaye, Steve Cradock, The Arcadian Kicks and after-show parties for bands such as The Vaccines.

The band also completed the recording of their debut album “Too Pretty For The City” at Aeriel Studios in Carmarthen with the legendary keyboard player and producer Tim Lewis (Spiritualized) with such luminaries as Andy Fairweather Low (Amen Corner/Roger Waters/Eric Clapton) and Alan Kendall (The Bee Gees) guesting on some of the tracks.

Four exciting tracks from their debut album "Too Pretty For The City" can be heard here on the website and the album itself is due for release in 2013.
